Join the Compleat Naturalist meetup group to meet other nature lovers, outdoor enthusiasts, naturalists, and similarly inquisitive minds. We offer a wide variety of programs for the beginner to the advanced naturalist, and from informal social events with featured guest naturalists, to in-depth multi-session courses, and field trips to fascinating locations in the Southern Appalachians, the most bio-diverse area in North America.

Although our mainstay is hiking we've also  been  biking, camping, kayaking, walking and eating with cameras.  Just about anything outdoorsy with camera included.   The trails we choose range from easy to moderately strenuous and almost all include rocks, roots, and elevation changes.
